Can I charge extra for options?
Yes! Smart Product Options and Addons includes a powerful pricing engine. You can charge extra based on:
- Flat Fee: A fixed amount added to the product price.
- Percentage: A percentage of the base product price.
- Character Count: Charge per character entered (great for engraving).
- Math Formula: Create dynamic pricing based on multiple field values (e.g.,
(width * height) * 0.5).
Can I show or hide options based on customer choices?
Absolutely. Smart Product Options and Addons features built-in Conditional Logic. You can configure fields to show or hide dynamically depending on what the user has selected in other fields.
How do I apply options to multiple products?
You don't have to recreate options for every product. Using Assignment Rules, you can assign an Option Group to:
- Specific individual products
- Entire product categories
- Specific product tags
- The entire store globally
You can also set Exceptions to exclude specific items (e.g., "Apply to all T-Shirts except the V-Neck").
Does Smart Product Options and Addons manage inventory for addons?
Yes. With the Global Stocks feature, you can track inventory for specific options. For example, if you sell a "Gift Box" addon, you can track the exact stock of physical gift boxes. When a customer buys a product with the Gift Box option, the Global Stock is reduced.
Does it work with my WordPress theme?
Smart Product Options and Addons is built to seamlessly integrate with standard WooCommerce hooks. As long as your theme follows standard WooCommerce templating practices, Smart Product Options and Addons will render beautifully on your product and checkout pages.
Can I export my option groups to another site?
Yes! Smart Product Options and Addons includes an Export & Import tool in the settings, allowing you to easily migrate your option groups and global settings from a staging site to a live site.
